Blakey ross was born in New Jersey in 1978. She went to Parsons School of Design in New York City, as
well as its counterpart in Paris. After graduating, she was a guest at Benetton's think tank outside Venice, Italy,
called Fabrica, where they published her photographs. She was then an artist-in-residence at the Art Center
South Florida, in Miami Beach, where she participated in many exhibitions and taught a class on mixed media.
She was a member of Fotomission, a coalition of photographers dedicated to social change. Now she lives
in Lima, Peru, with her fiancé and their small son.
